Visitor Guides

Starfish have been producing Visitor Guides since 2002 for various councils such as Portsmouth, Southampton, East Hampshire, Guildford and Visit Surrey.

The latest is the 72pp A4 bumper edition of Visit Surrey 2012 which is crammed full of places to stay, attractions to visit and plenty of bars and restaurants.

A Festival of Christmas!

Starfish was delighted to be asked by Portsmouth Historic Dockyard to create fresh, new creative ideas or the Victorian Festival of Christmas which was held at the end of November. The ‘box of surprises’ concept was applied to all materials, from leaflets and bus backs, to billboards and web banners.

“We were really pleased with how the event went and we will be up on visitor numbers when we get the final totals in from our agents. Portsmouth Aviation

Operating in the fast moving and fiercely competitive field of defence, weapons integration and engineering; Portsmouth Aviation is a Hampshire based, family-owned business with a global reputation.

Starfish has been working with them to create a new cohesive brand identity encompassing a new logo, business stationery, exhibition stand design, corporate literature and a 60 second company video.

Fareham Borough Council

Since early 2011, Starfish has been working with Fareham Borough Council to rejuvenate their communication with residents. FBC had identified a need to more effectively engage with the community and ensure that council projects, facilities and services are being fully accessed by the population of the Borough.

So far we have worked with them on several print publications including:

Quarterly magazine delivered to all residents
Comprehensive bi-annual residents survey
Parks information leaflets
School holiday activity posters and leaflets
Citizen of the Year nomination materials
Events leaflets and posters
Vehicle branding
Refuse collection calendars

Royal Marines Museum

Starfish have been working with the Royal Marines Museum over the past few months on producing and implementing a new brand which has been rolled out onto leaflets, HTML emails, folders, adverts, posters and the soon to be launched website.

Most recently we were asked to produce new graphics for the Operations Gallery which included a dress up corner, for kids, of course!

The versatile branding is also used for promoting special events such as Meet the Marines and we were also proud to be asked to produce the marketing material for a special Exhibition “Why Stay Silent” which looks closely at Remembrance.

Gunwharf Quays

Starfish has been working with the Land Securities owned Gunwharf Quays for the past 10 years creating both on and off site materials.

The most recent bright, colourful creatives have been rolled out onto a wealth of materials including 6 and 48 sheet posters, train panels, leaflets and online advertising via MSN and Facebook.

The designs are also easily adapted to promote single events such as the ‘”Kings and Queens” activity week and the Food and Real Ale Festival coming up in July.

Starfish also produces the marketing material for their sister site, galleria, situated in Hatfield.

Western Digital

Working across the EMEA region, Starfish has been working with Western Digital on producing publicity material for internal, external and home entertainment product launches. This has included exhibition material, HTML emails, banners, leaflets and adverts.

Portsmouth Grammar School

Starfish is delighted to be working with Portsmouth Grammar School producing a variety of communication materials.

A recent A5 Calendar of Events booklet proved such a hit that ticket sales for the events went through the roof and an invitation to an event at the Nursery school attracted over 400 guests!

Additionally, we have worked with the school on a series of videos. One to help de-mystify the entrance procedure and put both parents and potential pupils at ease with the process. Our team also recently spent a chilly Saturday in the grounds of the school filming the installation of the sculpture the Celestial Microscope, by Charlie Carter to create a time lapse video.
