Marines at the Marina!

Her Majesty's Royal Marines Band Service was at Gunwharf Quays today in all its resplendent glory! Crowds and the press gathered to watch them march through the centre in the blazing sunshine to the marina front for a special ceremony.

A new piece of music has been specially written to honour the town of Wootton Basset and will be performed at this weekend’s South Coast Proms on Whale Island. A delegation from the town was invited down today and the Mayor was presented with the score and made an emotional thank you.
