Visit Chichester

Objectives

Starfish was retained by Visit Chichester to build on the success of the 2019 Destination Guide. We produced the A4 brochure for 2020 along with digital advertising and a range of exhibition materials.

As well as design and print, Starfish was also responsible for advert sales and management. Working alongside the Visit Chichester Marketing team, we devised and built a successful new Membership scheme.

It's rare to take on all aspects of a campaign, so we were delighted to be fully involved in every component. The process helped the client focus on their tasks without nagging extra responsibilities.

“Starfish has worked with Visit Chichester since 2010, on a range of projects from creating inspirational design for our visitor guides to rail advertising campaigns and more. The team are super easy to work with, are adaptable and professional, and their experience in the tourism sector and within the local area is excellent and has been beneficial in helping us engage with local businesses”

Outcomes

The project challenge was to convey a wealth of places, activities and attractions all in one image and whilst Visit Chichester has a beautiful photography collection, we felt that illustration was the ideal solution. Photography could never encapsulate the variety of aspects on offer the way bespoke artwork can.

We wanted to build on the success of the 2019 guide and continued in the same vein but created a far more complex aesthetic with objects hidden within shapes to illustrate themes such as eating, nature, arts and culture. It meant we could produce a fantasy landscape and bring together the city, country and coast all in one creative design.
